Spring Outreach with Summit County CSB

This Wednesday May 12 we will be joining forces with Summit County to reach out to children in need. We will be having a Summer Toy Drive. Please bring along some bouncy balls, sidewalk chalk, frisbees, hula hoops, etc. We’ll also be learning about the children in our community that could use our prayers, time, and possibly our homes. I hope you’ll join us to be encouraged and challenged.

Next week, Wednesday May 19th, Gail Benn will be joining us to share a unique personal experience she had with Psalm 23.

Our Summer Park Play-date Schedule is now available. Contact us for more information. We hope to see you sometime this summer!

Love & Respect

This Wednesday, Todd and Candy Smith will be joining us for some teaching/discussion on Love & Respect In Marriage. They have 35 years of marriage to rely on for experience and they have been teaching on Love & Respect in the premarital classes at The Chapel.

A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for our area starting Tuesday evening and through the day Wednesday. In the event that Akron Public Schools are closed on Wednesday, Today’s Mom will be canceled. If this happens, I am hopeful that Todd and Candy can reschedule with us.

Bible Study, Fondue, & Questions

Bible study starts up tomorrow, January 20th! If you’ve never been, please come if you can. It is such a good time, being in the Word with fellow believers. Reminder, cost for the book is $10.

On the first day of a new year, it’s always hard to believe the entire previous year is over. So much to reflect upon from 2009, so much to look forward to in 2010. One of the things I am most looking forward to is Today’s Mom! We start up again on Wednesday January 6th with our Psalm 23 Bible Study and Wednesday Janurary 13th we will learn about A Woman’s Search for Significance with Gail Benn. We would love to have you join us!
